Perceptron is seeking an exceptional Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Product and Platform team and serve as a senior individual contributor across API engineering. This role sets the technical direction for the systems that make Perceptron's family of models accessible to developers, enterprises, and partners at scale. You will operate at the intersection of technical strategy and execution, partnering closely with the modeling and product platform teams to ensure the Perceptron Platform is reliable, capable, and positioned to grow.
This is a role that spans across platform engineering: owning the foundational reliability and performance of the API; shipping new API surfaces for model capabilities including real-time vision, audio, trajectories, and tool use; and ensuring Perceptron reaches customers where they need it with enterprise-ready infrastructure.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Perceptron, your work will span the full breadth of our product and platform:
- API & SDK Development: You'll partner with engineering and product leads, designers, and researchers to build our APIs, MCP service, and SDKs for our multimodal models.
- Technical Quality & Product Mindset: You'll own technical quality across the stack (performance, accessibility, reliability, and developer experience), scale your efforts to enterprises and customers on a global scale, and bring genuine curiosity about what AI makes possible.
- Agentic Development: You'll accelerate the path to agentic development by designing for both human and AI developers. You'll work closely with the modeling team and design team to turn Perceptron's newest capabilities into experiences developers can pick up and run with, from prototyping to a production agent.
- Enterprise Foundations: You'll build the systems large organizations require before they can adopt Perceptron at scale: identity and permissions, security and compliance controls, and the admin analytics that let them see how it's being used. This is the work that turns "we love the demo" into a signed enterprise deal. You'll work closely with Design and GTM to understand what our largest customers need, then build it once in a way that covers a breadth of enterprise requirements.
What You'll Bring
- 6+ years of practical full-stack engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to shape technical strategy for large-scale API or distributed systems platforms
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and API architecture; you write strong design docs, make sound architectural calls, and code in critical paths
- Strong product instincts applied to API design; clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience leading the design and delivery of complex, consumer or B2B user-facing products across the full stack
- Technical proficiency in modern frontend and backend development, with demonstrated depth across modern frontend and backend technologies
- A product-focused approach to building solutions that are robust, scalable, and easy to use
- A track record of driving cross-team alignment to ship impactful work, leading through influence rather than positional authority
- Experience establishing engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices
Ideal Candidates Will Also Have
- Experience building developer platforms or API infrastructure for AI, multimodal, or frontier model products
